Our Mission
 

Mid America Transportation & Aviation Museum (MATAM) an independent, educational non-profit IRS code 501 (c) (3) organization established in 1989 by a small group of museum enthusiasts with the idea and dream of creating a museum in Sioux City to preserve the areas rich transportation and military history.

  • Foster public understanding of all transportation modes.
  • Educate present and future generations.
  • Provide a Siouxland tourist attraction.
  • Build and operate a unique educational museum that will display all phases of aviation and surface transportation...past, present, and future.
  • To have a museum complex that people from all over the world will travel to see.
  • Enhance a better Quality of Life for the people of Siouxland and the tourists.
